Good day! Itatanong ko lang po kung okay lang ba maligo kaagad pagkatapos ng trabaho, mag exercise or any strenuous activity? Meron po ba itong masamang idudulot sa kalusugan natin? Maraming salamat po.


Hello Antoy!

Maganda ang tanong mong yan! Sa mga involved sa strenuous activity/work/exercise, mayroong maliliit na trauma and tears na nangyayari sa mga muscles na involved sa strenuous activity na iyon. Although wala pang conclusive studies na nagsasabi whether bathing is good or bad after this kind of activity, it seems as if bathing in cold water actually speeds up the recovery of these muscles, decreases or minimizes swelling, and washes away the lactic acid build-up in the muscles. Cold water is defined as water temp between 20-25C. Bathing in hot water has been shown to increase the swelling of these muscles and to aggravate the pain felt the morning after the heavy activity.
